AziLoop.

AziLoop is running, the control unit can be controlled via the long coaxial cable, and everything is technically perfect. Now I can take my time learning the app for the server and client and get everything I need in the next few weeks, except for the Spiderbeam mast, which I will pick up at the HAM RADIO exhibition in Friedrichshafen.

AziLoop.

Today, the AziLoop system arrived from the Kingdom in Salzburg. To test the system, it will be connected at the station over the next few days. The very long coaxial cable feed line in particular needs to be checked. All other functions via the Internet can also already be tested. The mast system will be set up after the HAM RADIO fair. https://www.quietradio.co.uk

Peru!

On 17 and 18 May 2025, the best Peru signals in many, many months or even years could be heard here in Salzburg. I have not yet heard and verified many things, and there are also some stations for which I have not yet heard an ID – 1040, 1060, 1110, 1120 and 1320. If you listen carefully, you will be busy for a long time with the recordings from these two days. Moments like these make the effort of having your own remote DX station worthwhile.

Peru.

May 14, 2025 at around 03 UT, Radio Vision from Pisco in southern Peru could be heard in Salzburg on 1549.819 kHz. The city belongs to the Ica region and is the capital of the province of Pisco. It is also the namesake of the brandy of the same name.

Peru.

Rather weak signals in the medium wave band on 11 May, but a few stations from Peru could still be heard after midnight UT. A nice catch was Radio Melodia on 1220 kHz from Arequipa, the capital of the Peruvian region of the same name. Situated between 3 volcanoes, the colonial-era city has numerous baroque buildings made of sillar, a white volcanic rock.
