AziLoop!

A new chapter begins. By summer, I would like to set up the AziLoop Antenna Processor DF-72, which is highly regarded by many DXers, at my station. This is probably the best remote solution currently available for serious mediumwave hunters. https://www.quietradio.co.uk/index.htm

  1. Hi Christoph!

Congrat’s with your new AziLoop! I’ve been using mine since Aprill 11, and even if conditions up here in Scandinavia is more or less useless right now, I have experienced some excellent indicators on what this antenna is capable to do! My loops are only 3 x 4,76 meters (I can’t put up anything bigger here), the AziLoop can do some really remarkable things! Can’t wait for next season and “darker times”.

I’m enclosing a picture of my construction, entirely made by using fiberglass tubes. The elevated radials is about 2.8 meters over ground, and the radial wires goes inside the 16mm tubes.

    73 and good luck!

  2. Thanks Hans, I had thought long and hard about the relatively small size of the antenna, but Dave and opinions like yours and Guy Atkins’ show that this antenna can do “more” than one might think. And then, of course, there’s the option of controlling everything remotely via the network. Thanks for your thoughts. It’ll be an exciting few weeks until the antenna is ready.
