An RF-Systems Magnetic Longwire Balun that has not been available for a long time has found its way to me. In future, this will be used as a universal HF antenna with a 78 metre long wire.

Japan is polite: For my QSL thank you letter to NHK Okinawa (1125 kHz), the station on the edge of the Pacific thanked me again with stickers and postcards. ありがとう！

The mediumwave transmitter of Radio Feliz from Lima, Peru has been heard in Salzburg on 1110 kHz over the last few days. Today the station confirmed reception and sent me greetings. “Le mandamos saludos de parte del Pastor y Gerente de la Radio.”
Bolivia.
There were some nice signals from Bolivia this morning, May 31, 2024. Radio Caranavi, from the city of the same name, has been heard repeatedly in recent weeks on the now free medium wave frequency 1550 kHz until the end of transmission shortly after 03:00 UT. The fact that Radio Luz del Mundo from La Paz, the capital of Bolivia, located on the Altiplano plateau of the Andes at more than 3,500 metres above sea level, could also be heard on 1560 kHz at around 01:00 UT makes the hobby even more enjoyable!

I have been able to listen to Radio Espinar from Yauri, the capital of the province of Espinar in south-central Peru in the Cusco region, on 1480 kHz in Salzburg over the last few days. The station confirmed reception to me today with a friendly e-mail.
