September is beginning, and the first faint signals from Asia can be heard here in Salzburg. On 30 August 2026, after 22:00 UT, I was able to hear the first time the faint signal from the Qinghai GD Tibetan Service in Huzhu on 1017 kHz here in Salzburg. The Huzhu Tu Autonomous County, or Huzhu County for short, is an autonomous county in Haidong Prefecture in the east of the Chinese province of Qinghai. It covers an area of 3,358 km² and has a population of 337,941.
