A lovely confirmation from Peru yesterday: Radio Tupac Amaru, from Yanaoca in the province of Canas, on the new frequency 1570 kHz. The province of Canas is one of thirteen provinces in the Cusco region of south-central Peru. The province’s name is derived from the indigenous K’anas people. The station was previously active on 750 kHz and has been broadcasting on 1570 kHz for a month; it could be heard in Salzburg on 26 May at around 0250 UT.
