First preview: Yesterday the extension to my IP antenna switch arrived. In future, antennas, antenna directions, preamplifiers, bandpass filters, attenuators and other additional devices will be switched much more conveniently via the network. Many thanks to Jan, remoteQTH.com and Mike, remoteswitch.de for the joint development and perfect implementation over the past months.
A not everyday station from Argentina: Radio Nacional Tucumán from the city of San Miguel del Tucumán could be heard here in Salzburg this morning around 03.30 UTC on mediumwave 1190 kHz.

Yesterday the station Sor. Wor. Thor from the Nong Khae district near Bangkok could be heard at the end of transmission at 17.00 UT in Salzburg on mediumwave 891 kHz. Excitingly, sunset at my station is currently at 19.52 CEST, so reception is almost an hour before sunset. Received with the 150 metre Asia Beverage.
After almost two months, another wonderful confirmation today: KFBX, Fairbanks, Alaska. Heard in January around 18.00 UTC on mediumwave 970 kHz, the confirmation is filed in my QSL folder under “extremely rare in Central Europe”. So now I have received and confirmed 4 medium wave stations from Alaska in Salzburg, the effort of an own beverage antenna towards Alaska was more than worth it.
After the beautiful reception of Shinjan Qazaq Radiosu from Bortala on 1233 kHz, I was now able to find another transmitter of this service from Xinjiang. The station is located in Kaba, a county of the Altay administrative district of the Kazakh Autonomous District of Ili in Xinjiang, and could be heard here in Salzburg on 4 March around 16.00 UTC on 1269 kHz.
Also today, after the shutdown of Radio Dechovka on 1233 kHz after 16.00 UT, the station Thor Or 01 from Bangkok could be heard. In addition, until 18.00 UT, also the Kazakh service from Xinjiang, Shinjan Qazaq Radiosu from Bole, far in the west of Xinjiang on the border with Kazakhstan. Both stations are heard with WinRadio G33 Excalibur, 150 metres Beverage towards Asia.
In mid-January, after setting up my own beverage antenna in the direction of Alaska, I was able to hear and also confirm two very rare stations. KNOM from Nome on 780 kHz and KNSA from Unalakleet on 930 kHz, both located on the Norton Sound near the Bering Strait, could be heard for a few minutes here in Salzburg. KNSA confirmed the reception by email, KNOM also sent a printed QSL card to my mailbox. Both stations are presumably the first time they have been received in Central Europe, so I am very happy about that.
Radio Vanuatu from the Pacific can be heard today at the morning start of broadcasting at 18.30 UT on my 150 metre Asia Beverage antenna on 3.945 kHz in Salzburg. A rare pleasure.
On January 2, 2021, the Courtesy Program Committee of the two American clubs, NRC and IRCA, hosted a DX test over WCPH, Etowah from Tennessee. The station used 1,000 watts of transmit power instead of the otherwise virtually inaudible 100 watts, and transmitted somewhat easier to hear details such as CW signals and test tones. Today I received this rare QSL card for reception in Salzburg. Thanks to Les Rayburn, Paul Walker and Joe Miller for this rare reception opportunity and acknowledgement.
