On 10.2. I was able to receive PJD2 The True Voice of St Maarten briefly in Salzburg. Of course a new mediumwave country for me.

“QSL”: Now is really the time after 42 years when it no longer makes sense. Out of 10 reports in the last two months to ‘special’ stations (all mediumwave), not a single one has responded. A total of 4 replies for 37 reports since December.
Now I’m going to print out Jaguar screens for the QSL folder instead of the station’s mail, like the one pictured here from Sinjanniin Mongoliin Ardiin Radio. And it’s only for myself, I don’t need the ‘QSL’ for anyone else, so I’m going to do it this way to save time. The only exception might be if I hear a new US state. But that’s also very doubtful after 45 verified US states.

Very nice signals from Florida.

Just discovered: Country trophies for the TOP 10 DX OF THE YEAR 2024 contest are now also available for download. Thanks to Patrick Robic and Hans Pammer for the beautiful Austria result. https://www.topdx-radioclub.com/certificate-2024.html

1st place with 300,349 points at the TOP 10 DX OF THE YEAR CONTEST 2024 – The worlds largest SWL contest. Also achieved the „BEST DX Reception of the Contest”. The SWL competition organised by István Biliczky took place for the 8th time in December 2024. A total of 35 participants from 19 different countries took part. The motto of the contest: For those who take it seriously!

If you’re looking for a reliable way to protect your receiver from surges while ensuring stable and secure signal transmission, the new QRO.cz protection box for under 70 € is the perfect solution. This product connects your antenna to the receiver while providing several key safety features to keep your system safe and efficient.
Automatic Disconnection Without Power: When power is not applied, the antenna is disconnected from the output, and the unit includes surge arrestors on the coaxial cable and between the coax shielding and the ground screw. RF Signal Limiting for Strong Signals: When power is supplied, the relay contacts connect the input RF signal to the output through an RF limiter, which safely limits any strong signals to a safe value. Overcurrent Protection: An integrated SuperFuse disconnects the signal path if the current exceeds 100mA, protecting the limiter from damage. Easy Grounding Setup: For proper operation, the box needs to be grounded via the provided ground screw to a good earth connection.
