Radio Vanuatu can now at Friday, December 19, 2025 be heard after 1830 UT on 5040 kHz in the former “tropical band” with Christmas music. The transmission location is Empten Lagoon, 15,970 km away.

  1. This log seems inconsistent! This frequency is neither listed on WRTH 2026, nor on their Website as at the time of reception mentioned.

    As per above reference Radio Vanuatu transmits on 3945 Khz.

  2. That’s not true. Vanuatu did NOT broadcast on 3945 kHz throughout December. Just because 5040 is not listed in the WRTH book, it is correctly listed as 5040 in the WRTH app. The station could be heard here in Austria throughout December at the start of transmission at 1825 UT on 5040. I have recordings and screenshots of this. You can never rely on “broadcast schedules” for stations like this; listening daily is much more important and will give you the correct result.
