A view of my Beverage antenna, 200 meter – direction 335° USA West Coast.

Signals from Asia are still very weak in the medium wave band at the beginning of autumn. That’s why I was very pleased to see some stations from India here in Salzburg at the end of transmission around 1730 UT today, September 10, 2024. (Perseus/QRO.cz – K9AY++)
747 1733 IND Akashvani, Lucknow A (UP) 6224 km
810 1735 IND Akashvani, Rajkot A (GJ) 5794 km
918 1730 IND Akashvani, Suratgarh (RJ) 5518 km
972 1735 IND Akashvani, Cuttack A (OD) 7084 km
990 1730 IND Akashvani, Jammu A (JK) 5344 km
1071 1730 IND Akashvani, Rajkot (GJ) 5771 km
1206 1725 IND Akashvani, Bhawanipatna (OD) 6905 km

Yesterday I fitted two protection cartridges from Hamparts.shop to the Beverage for the winter instead of the large lightning chokes. I also made the terminals and supply line to the box from the Beverage more solid, so all the aerial work is done for this year. https://hamparts.shop/surge-protection-f-female.html

Regional Radio from Narni, Umbria has always been heard weakly on medium wave 1440.000 here in Salzburg in recent months. For a few weeks now, a much stronger station has been used in the evening on 1439.986, which makes Radio 208 from Denmark, which is always easy to hear, almost inaudible on the MiniWhip until it closes at around 22 UT.
Both stations are exactly in the opposite direction, so I can ‘switch’ them 100% with my Beverage. A good example of how efficiently a Beverage works in its preferred direction.
