Since today I have been using a new GPSDO coupler instead of the inductive cable wrap to bring my reference signal cleanly into the Perseus for calibration. Thank you Reinhard for the brilliant idea and realisation!
In the last 10 years I have been able to listen to mediumwave stations from 44 US states with my station here in Salzburg and have also received confirmation from the stations. Number 45 is not getting any easier. Stations from Delaware and Arkansas simply cannot be heard, and Nebraska has not brought me any luck so far. And for a reception from Arizona, Nevada and Idaho, you need a lot of luck as well as the help of the sun. And we don’t even want to think about Hawaii here in Central Europe.
An RF-Systems Magnetic Longwire Balun that has not been available for a long time has found its way to me. In future, this will be used as a universal HF antenna with a 78 metre long wire.
